”I thrive on challenges. After a long ultra-distance running career I’m transitioning to rally racing. I’ve found new challenges make me a better father, husband and all around person. I’ve followed the Dakar rally for many years, and after my recent races I feel I have the necessary confidence and skill to complete the Dakar.
Training is something I take very seriously. It’s at the core of any successful multi-day endurance event. For Dakar, I plan to continue to spend long time in the saddle of the rally bike, cross-train, run, bike and focus on core strength. I have no doubt I will show in peak physical condition.
The decision to participate in Dakar 2020 is not something I take lightly. And once I decide on something, I’m relentless to see it through. I feel fortunate to be fit enough, with a supporting family, and the resources to participate in such an amazing event.
I look forward to the journey!”
